Exploring pigments: Umber

During the next few livestreams on my YouTube channel, I’d love to talk about and work with some of my favourite pigments. Each episode will feature a pigment, and after a few I will curate a limited palette with them.

It’s no secret that I love desaturated colours and I work with them a lot. So we’re starting this series with my favourite shadow colour: Umber. Both raw and burnt umber come in many different shades and varieties. I don’t have a huge collection but I do have a few different ones I can show you.
